eLearning, Mobile Technology, and Talent Development Companies Announce Merger

Merger combines strengths and experience in creating premium learning content, provided through world-class mobile & online delivery systems, and leveraging behavioral learning to drive the best learning experience.

St. George, UT - February 1, 2012 - LearnKey Inc., LearnCast Inc and Predix, Inc. today announced a merger, effective immediately, to form Better Learning Systems, Inc (BLS). Through its three existing brands, BLS will provide premium video courseware content, online and mobile software as a service (SaaS) learning technology platforms, and behavioral learning systems to provide personalized, rapid learning and publishing solutions available worldwide.

BLS will be led by management and a board of directors derived from all three companies, with LearnKey founder John Clemons taking the role of Chairman. Lori Coruccini, founder and president of Predix, Inc. will lead worldwide sales and business development, and David Clemons, founder and CEO of LearnCast, will lead all mobile learning & emerging technology initiatives.

"The combined strengths and experience in creating premium learning content provided through world-class mobile & online delivery systems, and leveraging the behavioral aspect of learning enables us to rapidly deploy a high quality, low-cost prescribed learning solution to K-12, Higher Education, Corporate Enterprises, and individuals," says John Clemons. "We are very excited to offer these learning products and services."

Each company's technology platforms are well positioned, with LearnCast delivering the newest mobile learning and publishing tools, along with LearnKey's OnlineExpert learning management system.

"In today's world you are seeing a change in the way organizations view the importance of having both an online and mobile learning strategy," says David Clemons. "They realize the need to embrace mobile much faster, so they can keep up with the advanced learning potential through mobile devices and smart phones."

Another crucial part of the learning experience is the need to assess behavior to identify an individual's true talents, explains Lori Coruccini. Once identified, the employer and the individual can prescribe learning opportunities to leverage those talents and align them with career goals and company mission.

"One of the most important things you can learn about is yourself," says Coruccini. "Having that knowledge and understanding of what you are best at greatly improves your chances of finding the best career and learning path for success."

BLS is positioning itself to take advantage of the growing eLearning industry. Abient Insight research notes the U.S. market for self-paced eLearning products and services reached $18.2 billion in 2010. The demand is growing at a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.9% and revenues will reach $24.2 billion by 2015, according to Abient.
